GoRaleigh is celebrating Try Transit Week from Sept. 23 through Sept. 27.
Try Transit Week is an educational event designed to encourage people to take a ride with GoRaleigh and celebrate those who already have.
Throughout the week we will be hosting events and promotions for residents including:
- Monday, Sept. 23 – youth and seniors will receive a token of appreciation
Show either your GoRaleigh Senior Card or your Youth GoPass at the GoRaleigh Station ticket booth located at 214 S. Blount St., Raleigh, NC 27601 or at the GoRaleigh Operations Center located 4104 Poole Rd., Raleigh, NC 27610, to collect our token of appreciation (while supplies last).
- Wednesday, Sept. 25 – Free ride day
All residents may enjoy a free ride on any GoRaleigh route for the entire day of bus operations.
- Friday, Sept. 27 – Transit employee appreciation day
Tell us about your favorite GoRaleigh employee on social media, tag GoRaleighNC and #ThanksGoRaleigh to be entered into a drawing for a surprise gift.
“Public transportation is a great way to get around the entire Triangle area and connect to jobs, shopping, parks, and entertainment,” Transportation Director Michael Moore said. “Try Transit Week gives us an opportunity to thank our riders, staff, and let all residents have the opportunity to try a ride on GoRaleigh with no restraints.”
GoRaleigh is the City’s public transit bus service. GoRaleigh operates 84 buses, serving approximately 17,000 passengers per day, and covers a territory of 144 square miles.
