In 2020, GoRaleigh had seven operators qualify to be recognized with the status of a Million Miler. The normal transit operator drives approximately one million miles in 12 years of service. All operators that qualified for this prestigious safety award completed 12 years of service without an accident. One operator doubled that, going 24 years and two million miles without a single accident.

The seven operators who achieved this status are:

  • Aldonia Brown – 2 million miles driven safely since September 1996
  • Yasmin Ratliff – 1 million miles driven safely since June 2005
  • Melinda Perry – 1 million miles driven safely since May 2008
  • Vincent Price – 1 million miles driven safely since August 2008
  • Bernice O’Neal – 1 million miles driven safely since August 2008
  • Damon Miller – 1 million miles driven safely since November 2008
  • Michael Jackson – 1 million miles driven safely since December 2008

GoRaleigh also received the Transit Safety Award in 2020 from the North Carolina Public Transportation Association. The Safety Award recognizes the best safety record for the year. These operators helped GoRaleigh achieve this recognition.
